Consumers want to know more about how their credit score works and what is involved in determining that number.  The most popular scoring formula is Fair, Isaac and Co (FICO); yet FICO has over 49 scoring formulas!  Many sites that consumers visit to purchase their credit score may not be the same score a lender is looking at when considering loan opportunities and some sites don't give any version of FICO at all.
