Neighbors Federal Credit Union dedicated November 5th-10th to their loyal members during Member Appreciation Week.
Kathi Gill, President/CEO Neighbors FCU, explains how this tradition started, "In 2008, we initiated Member Appreciation Week to show our members just how much we value their membership and to simply say ‘thank you’ for the many successes we are so fortunate to share with them and because of them. Our charter members had a dream to bring financial services to the employees of East Baton Rouge Parish public school system. Today this dream has grown to include the Baton Rouge metropolitan area and more than 60,000 members. It is because of the trust and confidence these members have placed in us that we celebrate Member Appreciation Week honoring them for their cooperative spirit.”
Neighbors posted festive door clings, handed out money envelope fliers and posted information in account statements to build excitement, explain the prize drawings, and increase member awareness of the events set to unfold. During the week branches served treats daily such as cookies and cake.
Members could use innovative technology to register for prizes online through a QR code on their money envelope fliers in addition to the tried but true paper ballot available at all branch locations. Each branch had a grand prize winner who took home a new iPad and four more second-place prize winners who each received a $50 gift card! In total, eleven iPads and fifty-two $50 gift cards were won by members!
