Congressman Garret Graves Tours Our Newly Remodeled Branch
Congressman Garret Graves stopped by Neighbors newly remodeled Perkins branch to accept a check from the Credit Union Legislation Action Council. (CULAC). While he was there, Neighbors gave him a tour of the newly remodeled facility and provided a firsthand look at the members we serve.
Neighbors President and CEO Steve Webb presented the $1500 check on behalf of CULAC for Graves’ efforts to defend credit unions from harmful legislation. He was thrilled to receive the check and meet with credit union professionals. But, he was equally concerned with what the members had to say.
Graves meet with one of our younger members Tamiia Williams. Tamiia graduated from Woodlawn High School (one of our Mascot Schools). Tamiia was cashing in all of her coins she had saved in high school to prepare to attend Southeastern this Fall. She intends to major in Radiology.
Graves also took an interest in the new technology of our branch. He went upstairs to check out our Live Teller center. He even photobombed a member during a session.
