Leo S. Butler Community Center Summer Program - Wednesday, July 16, 2014
Children between the ages of seven and fourteen had the opportunity to take the mystery out of banking and learn about accounts during their summer activities this July.

Ann Marie Erie, Neighbors Community Outreach Coordinator, made a special trip to see the kids and help them learn about accounts and how to make withdrawals and deposits.

After learning how to read the banking forms students selected what kinds of accounts they wanted.  This ambitious group wisely chose savings, checking, and extra savings accounts as their active accounts and all the extra savings accounts were routinely dedicated for a car purchase!

The group practiced filling out real credit union forms to deposit money and make withdrawals from their various accounts and the kids learned the process quickly.

Neighbors shared parting gifts with each child and snapped this picture with the group!
