What is a routing number and what is it used for?
A routing number or routing transit number (RTN) is a nine digit number used to identify a financial institution in a transaction. When transferring money from your Neighbor FCU account to another Financial institution or vice versa a routing number is crucial in ensuring that the funds are sent to and pulled from the correct financial institutions.

You can find your account numbers by logging into your Online or Mobile Banking.
On the Mobile app:
Click on the Account, More Account Detail, and then Full Account number.
On a browser:
Click on the Account and then click Full Account number.
Your account number is also listed on your either your mail statements or e-statements.
If you have checks with Neighbors FCU, your checking account number can be found at the bottom of checks next to the routing number.
Your Member number or Account number may also be obtained by contacting our Contact Center at 225-819-2178 (toll free 866-819-2178). Personal and account questions will be asked in order to verify your identity.

- Previous check packages of 50 will be decreased to packages of 40
- Transaction registers will remain free, but will only be provided upon your request

At Neighbors we make Skips Easy!
The quickest and easiest way to get a skip on your qualifying loan is to log in to online banking to perform the skip yourself. Not signed up for online banking? Register here.
Neighbors' Skip-A-Pay Loan program gives eligible members the option to skip a loan payment up to two times per year. Any owner of the loan can request the skip. They must be in good standing and current on the loans they wish to skip. A $30 fee is charged for the skip; however, the benefits are extra cash flow any two months of the year!

Yes, we do offer direct deposit!
Direct deposit is one of the easiest and safest ways to get your paycheck or retirement check deposited directly into your credit union account. The money comes to Neighbors FCU electronically and is available to you immediately.
In order to begin direct deposit with your employer, you will need to provide your employer's payroll department with the routing and transit number of 265473317. This number is also known as the ABA number. You will also need to provide the account number for the account in which the funds are to be deposited.
If you are in need of a direct deposit form, you may contact our office for your request or submit your request via online/mobile banking by sending us a secured message.

To deposit a check using the Neighbors Mobile App:
1. Login to the Neighbors FCU app.
2. Click Deposits on the bottom menu.
3. Select the account you would like to make the deposit to.
4. Enter the Check Amount.
5. Ensure check(s) are endorsed properly. On the back, be sure to include the following:
- FOR MOBILE DEPOSIT ONLY
- At NFCU
- Acct#
- Your Signature

6. Front of Check: Take a picture of the front of your check, be sure to include all four corners.
7. Back of Check: Take a picture of the back of your check, be sure to include all four corners.
8. Click Deposit
9. Write “mobile deposit" and the date on the front of your check. The date should be the month, day, and year of your deposit. Securely store your check for 30 days after your deposit, and then destroy it. This allows sufficient time in case the original check is required for any reason.
Click VIEW DEPOSIT HISTORY to view past deposits and check the status of a pending deposit.
